Now that there is a lively discussion on the forum, I'm not sure what to post here anymore. Mostly I want to discuss specific issues and the forum provides faster feedback. I don't want to double-post either.

The forum and the blog have different aesthetics. The forum is more like lots of people talking in a large room, with groups crowing around a topic they like.
The SLOG is more like you talking in your own room, with the door open. Somebody walking by in the hallway can take in interest in what you have to say.
